Sketch Card of the Day- Sy-Klone!

Sy-Klone Sketch Card by Taylor Lymbery
Today's deviation is Sy-Klone! When I was a kid, my friend had a Sy-Klone action figure. I never thought much of the heroic warrior of , well, tornados and wind, until now. This guy has to be the brightest colored character from the line. He basically has three main colors, and all three colors are primaries! Yep! Nothing screams PlaySkool toy box like Sy-Klone here. So with calling out his bright colors, I definitely wouldn't put him in the stealth team of heroic warriors unless the team is sneaking into a playdoh factory. Sy-Klone also had a movement sticker on his chest that mimicked a radar when you moved this guy from side to side. BUT, these two characteristics is not the best thing about him; he has a wind action feature! You might be asking at this point, "What is a wind action feature?". Well, he had a wheel on his back that if you spun it, his upper torso would spin around. And his arms were hinged loosely to flail up and down, so when he was spun, his arms would swing outward and hit things! It's a simple idea, but it works so well. Let's just say that I was so impressed with this figure in my older age that I did get a vintage and a 200X. I haven't got a Classics version yet, sadly. He is on my collecting radar but is not top of the list due to the lack of his action feature that is not on that version (just a nod to). This envisioning of Sy-Klone is a mix of the vintage and the 200X. You can also see this sketch card here.

Now, I'm going to have a bunch of these sketch cards available at the Dallas Comic Con. I'll be selling them for $10. I am also opening commissions of sketch cards. They will also be $10 + shipping and handling which will be $6 in the continental United States of America. I'll have to get a quote for any territories outside of that. I will also open up my colored page line drawings for commissions. Same price as the sketch cards, but I'll have to check on the shipping (due to the difference in size). If you want to see what I mean by colored sheet drawing, go here. If you want a sketch card, send me an e-mail to taylorlymbery@gmail.com. Name your character and we will go from there.

The Convention will be May 19th-20th. It will be at the Irving Convention Center that is located at 500 W Las Colinas Blvd. , Irving, TX. Tickets for Saturday will be $25.00 for 11:00am to 7:00pm, and tickets for Sunday will be $20.00 for 11:00am to 4:00pm. If you happen to go to the Convention, stop by and say hi to Rob and I.
