Sketch Card of the Day- Icarus!

Today's deviation is Icarus! Ok Flipshot. No wait! I mean Icarus... If you know what I'm talking about then I absolutely commend you. That means you really know your He-Man lore. Icarus is one of those characters that had dual names for some odd reason. One thought is that his cartoon name of Flipshot, is the same as a Nerf foam gun. One is that the name of Flipshot didn't translate over seas.  But the truth of the matter is this, the name on the original He-Man (New Adventures of He-Man) package is Icarus. That's what Mattel originally chose. I guess Flipshot is just his nick name from the cartoon. When I was young, I came a cross a whole run of He-Man (NAOHM) figures. I passed them up due to the fact that I was not really aware that these action figures were really in the same universe as the Masters of the Universe line. I was thrown off. I ended up passing them up. Which also could've had something to do with money or the lack of... Well, the sad part of the story is this. I have gained a great deal of respect for this series, and now, can not afford these figures due to collectors price. (It's all about money, folks!) So, I am very happy that Mattel is adding these New Adventures of He-Man characters into their Classics line! Well done guys! Now, if I could just get you to not have all new characters selling on the same sale date. Seriously, can you please move Slush-Head back to August? I really don't have enough money to get two figures this month... Sad Panda. You can also see this sketch card here.

Now, I'm going to have a bunch of these sketch cards available at the Dallas Comic Con. I'll be selling them for $10. I am also opening commissions of sketch cards. They will also be $10 + shipping and handling which will be $6 in the continental United States of America. I'll have to get a quote for any territories outside of that. I will also open up my colored page line drawings for commissions. Same price as the sketch cards, but I'll have to check on the shipping (due to the difference in size). The Convention will be May 19th-20th. It will be at the Irving Convention Center that is located at 500 W Las Colinas Blvd. , Irving, TX. Tickets for Saturday will be $25.00 for 11:00am to 7:00pm, and tickets for Sunday will be $20.00 for 11:00am to 4:00pm. If you happen to go to the Convention, stop by and say hi to Rob and I.
