I can't believe that I bought into Fortnite. I have been enjoying the game so far and I have REALLY been enjoying the toys by Jazwares! Singularity was a character introduced in Chapter 1. Amazon has a good deal going on for this character, and as a bonus, you can get a supply crate for cheap!!! Be sure to check out the review!

E-man and I find some small action figures of Uglydolls in the wild for a dollar each. Wait, what?! That's right! These Hasbro toys are showing up at local Dollar Trees. Check your neighborhood store for availability. We found all of the dolls, but only picked up four. These are what comes with each figure in package.
Overall, these toys are simple but fun! Each one is a keshi style plastic and sport one point of articulation, a ball joint at the legs. They are able to hold most of their accessories and come with a cool set of stickers to customize your character more. All in all, these are very fun and worth the dollar spent! I have seen a lot of Toy Photography being made in the past year or so. And seeing successful pictures means that there is some sort of set piece or background in the picture to add to the realism of the setup. So when my son asked me to make him a play-set for his Masters of the Universe toys, I said, "You know, I should show a lot of people how to craft a play-set out of crafting materials.". And so, this video was born.
This is a part one to a two part creation for this set. The second video will be all about painting the creation. I will go over painting techniques and texturing techniques in that video. So...stay tuned!!!

I have been a huge fan of the Aliens and Predator franchises for a majority of my life. I remember my dad letting me watch the first predator at a young age and him letting me sneak in to watch some of the colonial marines battle screeching aliens in the Cameron classic film, "Aliens". It's been a big part of my sci-fi nerdom. When I was young, I had a small series of Aliens 2 pack toys from Kenner. I loved them so much that when I got a chance to get the single carded action figures and vehicles, I jumped to the chance! That lead to me finally getting a good run of the Predator toys that coincide with the Aliens toys from Kenner. Now, Neca toys has made two new action figures that are in the classic vintage Kenner style. One of which is the Alien NeoMorph that appeared in the movie, "Alien Covenant, and the other is the Berserker Predator, that appeared in the film, "Predators". I have the Berserker Predator! Let's take a look at him.
This toy is great! It is nice to have a vintage style action figure that looks very good with the actual vintage collection. The paint and sculpting are a nice upgrade to the vintage look, but doesn't overdo the surpassing of quality. In Laymen's terminology, it's still looks simple enough to mix in the vintage toy line and not stick out to much.
I was disappointed with the attachment of the accessories. Both the cannon and the blade keep falling off in play. In all honesty, it is an adult collector toy, but, a little glue would go a long way. I have thought about gluing the blade down on my personal toy, due to it falling off every time I move him.
So for this toy, I give him a 4 out of 5 stars. If his accessories fit better, he would have gotten a 5 star rating. He really is a cool nod to the vintage toys we all loved so well.

In the past, I have been passing up the Call of Duty (COD) Mega Construx building block sets. Recently, I took a gamble with my extra expenses to buy a twelve dollar set from Dollar General here in my town of Denton, TX. I liked it so much, I felt the need to make a video!
Things that I liked about this set were the fact that the box is super modular. What I mean is that the box can be taken apart, and put together is various ways. It makes for some cool environments. let me show you.
The weapons are also able to be broken apart and changed up. This is such a simple, and yet cool playset that has a greatplayability! I give it a 4 out of 5 stars! If you are interested in purchasing this set, I have a link for it here: Amazon Mega Construx Call of Duty Solo Mercenary Outpost

It's been a while since I've posted anything and normally I am in class teaching at school. But, with the current state of things with the Covid-19 pandemic, I am teaching from home on a virtual platform. But, as I make some videos for my students, I figured I could share them here as well. You can participate by posting your finished work in the comments or emailing it to me. Have fun and Happy Arting!

I'm working toward a new goal in my life to continue carrying art education outside of the classroom. I'm starting an after school program here in my city of Denton, Texas. It's called, "Taylor Made Studios". This is something I've been wanting to do for a while and here recently I have a good block of time to do it. Here is the flyer for those who are interested in more info or bookings.
I have been invited to be a part of a great new show that has just started back in May. It is "The Limited Edition Art Show" that is held at "The Lost Toys" toy shop in Dallas, Texas! It had a great show start using Star Wars as a jumping point in May. Now it's back and this show carries the theme of Masters of the Universe! Once, ArtBot138 asked me if I wanted to be in the show, I didn't hesitate to respond back with the happiest yes that I could muster without breaking my phone in excitement! If you are familiar with me, you already know my love for Masters of the Universe! There is an awesome artist line up and from what I have seen on "The Limited Edition Art Show"'s instagram page, there will be some awesome pieces up for grabs! The show will be at the Lost Toys toyshop near I-35 and Mockingbird at 1451 Empire Central, Suite 700, 5:30-9:00pm, Friday July 14th 2017. Don't miss out on the MOTU greatness! Here are some progress pics of my Monster High Customs that will be at the show.

This last year, I made my Artmor set of plates into Beast Man's Chest. It is a follow up to last years He-Man's Chest and the year before's Skeletor's Chest. As most of you know, I am a HUGE Masters of the Universe fan. These Artmor plates help me bring my fandom love of MOTU into the realm of Star Wars. The money made from this set and many other fantastic Artmor art pieces go to a cause that I am a strong supporter of, Toys for Tots. I talk toys, I customize toys and I love toys. My world was shaped due to the imaginative play of tiny articulated plastic and I feel it is important for every child to have that access to imagination in their youth. If you feel as strongly as I do about the importance of these auctions, or want to have a hand in owning new pieces being built for future auctions, follow up on The Artmor Project on NeoZaz's Artmor facebook page. You can also see this Artmor piece on my deviantart page here.
So, for all of you wereworm lovers and lovers of my work, I have toys, and art pieces for sale in my Storenvy shop. I'll continue to add awesome pieces to the shop over the summer. If you see something you like, don't hesitate to purchase it. Many of these pieces will be limited.

Jeff", then it's time I let you know! Jeff and I are on the show where we talk about toys! (Go figure, I mean Go action figure!) Seems simple enough. We pick out a toy line to discuss in each show. We share our childhood memories, our favorite five, and talk about the one toy in the line that got away. Jeff talks about how he cherished his toys and I talk about how they ended up in the garden! The other show is The pilot episode, where Jeff and Cory break down the Pilot Episode in TV series. The shows are great! Back last fall, I participated in the Vinyl Thoughts Art Show 6. I had two pieces in show that reflected two of my loved film franchises, Alien, and Predator. My first piece was reflective of Alien. This piece, "LV-426", was a fun challenge. I wanted to add elements that spoke of the stillness of the first of the film before all the steam and spinning lights. One of my favorite scenes is when the Nostromo and ore station are coming up to the gas giant and the multiple moons. To capture that look, I made the head the space scene adding the 3-D element of the Nostromo and Station as a sculpted piece. The rest of the custom toy was set up to reflect my next favorite part of the film, the exploration of the derelict spacecraft and the egg field. I had to rearrange a few items and change a little of the shape of some of the exploration suits. This suit is Kain's, using the yellow band as his designated color. Each of the egg sacks were hand sculpted and the based was colored to mimic the worm metal coloring of the pads of the space suit. I had a great time building this custom vinyl toy for the Vinyl Thoughts Art Show! Below are more pictures of this toy after the messages below. You can also see this toy on my deviantart page here. You can follow up on Vinyl Thoughts on their webpage.

About a year ago, I had made a small run of space themed chicken resin figurines that I had named, "Intergalachicks". I have finally got around to getting these chicks posted here on my website. The run of these two designs are very limited only having eight total castings of these toys. There are four bad guys and four good guys. The foul are cast in blue glow-in-the-dark pigments for the good version and orange glow-in-the-dark pigment for the bad guy themed bird. They are accented with hand painted acrylic paint application to accentuate their armor and technology. Lastly, they all have fluorescent paint for their eyes and a printed tag clear-coated to the bottom of each resin casting.

I started a tattoo apprenticeship back in September, but recently had to hold back to be home with my family. I REALLY enjoyed being in the shop and learning to tattoo and I do have plans to go back and finish my apprenticeship one day. During my apprenticeship, I came up with several designs that I thought would be good to bring to the public eye over the next few months. This is my "All Seeing-eye Girl". I wanted something that had a nice color balance between the warm and cool tones to help shape her face, collar, and head wrap. I really like this balanced style and want to play with that type of color design again. I'm pretty happy with how this one turned out and I plan to do more pin-up girls in a tattoo design. I have some fun pin-up girl ideas that I hope you all will enjoy. We'll see if that is true in time. You can also see this piece here in my deviantart account. I hope you are inspired by this piece! You can also be inspired by other unique tattoo ideas over at Piercing Models!

The show is on! I just finished building my show at Freaks and Geeks in Denton, Texas. I have a whole hallway, and I didn't waste any design space. I am calling the show, "Look at all this SPACE: art by Barnlord". It will feature custom toys, prints and paintings by me. There will be a good range in prices for the items I will have. I'll also be rolling out the elusive Abducto-Eyes table top toys from my last year's instagram feed. This is the first time they have been available to the public. I'll have Wereworms, Cheesecake Head Charlie pins, Pabst Wrestler Beasts, and more! I'm super excited about this show! Saturday, April the 4th, 2015, I'll be up at Freaks and Geeks from 8:00pm-12:00pm for an acknowledged show opening. I'll have my paint markers in hand, so if you bring me a blank vinyl toy, I'll customize it for $5.00. That's a heck of a deal! Seriously, don't miss out. Here's some pictures of the hallway.
Be sure to go check out Freaks and Geeks facebook page. Go get your blank vinyl toys and I will see you all at the shop on Saturday!
