Arternia Show coming up July 14th, 2017

I have been invited to be a part of a great new show that has just started back in May. It is "The Limited Edition Art Show" that is held at "The Lost Toys" toy shop in Dallas, Texas! It had a great show start using Star Wars as a jumping point in May. Now it's back and this show carries the theme of Masters of the Universe! Once, ArtBot138 asked me if I wanted to be in the show, I didn't hesitate to respond back with the happiest yes that I could muster without breaking my phone in excitement! If you are familiar with me, you already know my love for Masters of the Universe! There is an awesome artist line up and from what I have seen on "The Limited Edition Art Show"'s instagram page, there will be some awesome pieces up for grabs! The show will be at the Lost Toys toyshop near I-35 and Mockingbird at 1451 Empire Central, Suite 700, 5:30-9:00pm, Friday July 14th 2017. Don't miss out on the MOTU greatness! Here are some progress pics of my Monster High Customs that will be at the show.

By now you should know that I am on a podcast called, "Talking Toys with Taylor and Jeff" on Marvindogmedia! We have just had our 5 year anniversary for the show and we will continue on for many more. Listen and enjoy our catalog of shows where we talk over many different toy lines from the past! Production Plush Toy- The Wereworm Jeff!

I'm still not sure what I was thinking when I first started buying material for this one. I'm not sure what was going through my head, but I am glad that I followed my instincts! This toy plush here is a Wereworm! More importantly, it is Jeff, the Wereworm! And yes, for all of the Talking Toys with Taylor and Jeff podcast fans, this toy was named after my best bud even though it looks nothing like him! This toy is a stuffed plush with a possible wire frame and hand painted plastic face and stinger. He sports glow-in-the-dark stripes and a bright fuzzy body. I already have another Wereworm face and stinger sculpted, so expect another one of these toys to be on its way! The toy pictured is an actual production piece. If you'd like to pre-purchase one, send me an e-mail. There are also more pictures of this piece below the important messages below.

I have been asked to help my amazing local community of Denton, Texas with theirMini A-Kon on February 28th, 2015. I'll be making a piece to auction there and doing a live sketch session there to add another piece for auction later that day. The money raised will go to the charity, "For the Love of Art": an art group helping the elderly. If you are in the area, stop by and say, "Hi"!

Recently, I was being filmed for a convention documentary called, Unconventional. You can see it here. While you are at it, you should check out Johnathan Paul's other video work here.

Just to let you know all know, I am taking commissions. If you would like to commission me for original artwork, head over to the commissions tab in store to see how.

Issue 5 of Xenex the Bug Man is available on indyplanet.com! I have all Xenex the Bug Man comic books available for print on demand. You can see that listing here on my store's tab for comic books.

I have posted some new shirt designs in my Cafepress store. Head over to my Cafepress store and get a shirt or a couple!

I will be revamping my storenvy.com shop to sell my toys. Keep watch for some new exciting products over the year. Here's the link: http://taylorlymbery.storenvy.com/

If you have not heard about the Podcast called, "Talking Toys with Taylor and Jeff", then it's time I let you know! Jeff and I are on the show where we talk about toys! (Go figure, I mean Go action figure!) Seems simple enough. We pick out a toy line to discuss in each show. We share our childhood memories, our favorite five, and talk about the one toy in the line that got away. Jeff talks about how he cherished his toys and I talk about how they ended up in the garden! The other show is The pilot episode, where Jeff and Cory break down the Pilot Episode in TV series. The shows are great! If you are interested in what we got, go to Marvindogmedia.com  and give us a listen. You can subscribe to the shows on itunes and get up to date info on upcoming shows on facebook:

Production Plush Toy- Cosmik Cat!

This toy marks a new year for me as a toy designer and fabricator in a couple of ways. First, as I progress as a toy creator, I push myself to be able to make a toy that is able to be reproduced by myself in mass to offer to you all. This toy does that by using molding processes and liquid plastics. Second, it solidifies my ongoing desire to make creatures and monsters for a living! I love making bright and colorful little monsters for you all to take home! If you think about it, my artist name, Barnlord, signifies that I work with creatures. They just happen to look like monsters! So, without any more hesitation, I present to you, "Cosmik Cat"! This project has been kept hidden in the dark for a while. I've been waiting for a good chance to spring him fourth to the public. The make-up of this creature is mainly fuzzy plush material with a scaly vinyl underbelly. His face and claws are made of a lightweight plastic with paint application. His tongue is made of a flexible silicon and his collar is a combination of plastic and soft goods materials. The toy pictured is the first prototype. I will have many more made soon. If you'd like to pre-purchase one, send me an e-mail. There are also more pictures of this piece below the important messages below.

Custom Toy Monday- Xenex the Destroyer!

Now that the Vinyl Thoughts Art Show 4 is done, I can show some of these big toys that I kept under the wraps until the big show night. This piece is called Xenex the Destroyer. If you have read my comicbook then you all ready know where this character comes from. If you have not read my indy comic then I need to let you know who this is. The white bug looking guy is Xenex the Bug Man from my independent comicbook from the same name. These comicbooks are available on indyplanet. Check out their listing on my online store page. I took some time making this piece and I think it really shows. The base is made from a Creatology egg head toy and a Creatology hippo buddy. The main body of the tentacle monster is sculpted of aluminum foil and Sculpey. If you are interested, I have this toy listed for sale on the Vinyl Thoughts Store Envy site. After all of the information I have below, I'll have more pictures from all angles posted. Look below!

I did buy a table for the Dallas Comic Con: Fan Days on October 4th-6th. If you are wanting a pre-Fan Days commission, let me know and I'll get it ready for pick up at that show.
